  5. Wellness Tips During Covid-19

Stress Management

  • Get your body moving
  • Call a friend or family member (video chat like Skype or Facetime is great too!)
  • Listen to music
  • Meditate
  • Incorporate breathing exercises
  • Start your day with gratitude
  • Practice self-care (this can look different for everyone but make sure you dedicate a few minutes for yourself each day for an activity you enjoy such as taking a warm bath or shower, going for a walk, or reading a book)

Physical Activity

  • Go for a walk (while practicing social distancing)
  • Play music in your house and dance
  • Utilize at-home workouts (DVDs, online videos, etc.)
  • Supercharge your chores

Working from Home

  • Remove distractions
  • Create a space that motivates and inspires you (add things like flowers, plants, sunlight, photos of your loved ones, etc. to your workspace)
  • Stick to a daily routine
  • Follow your body’s natural rhythm to dedicate a set time to work each day when you feel most motivated
  • Get dressed for the day

Fuel Your Body with Food

  • Try to maintain healthy eating habits as much as you can
  • Remember frozen vegetables and fruit are just as good as fresh (if you opt for canned look for low sodium labels)
  • Stay hydrated and stick to drinking water (instead of sugary drinks) as best you can
  • Try to limit caffeine, sweets, and salty or fried foods
